I love this profile for a scud pattern. A lot of elements go in to making this fly. Its fishing range of use is all encompassing. A #18 is one of the most tempting and delicate presentations you can make wading shallow water. By contrast I won a "bait" tournament using a pink #12 in heavy current from a boat.
